Happy Tuesday, friends! Hope you had a great weekend. I was at the Nashville Craft Retreat all weekend, and had a wonderful time! I taught my very first live class to 100 people, and I think it went over very well! I taught a mixed media class using Lindy’s Magicals and TCW Stencil Butter. If you are looking for a fun, technique-based crafting retreat, I highly recommend the Nashville Craft Retreat. It keeps getting better and better every year 🙂
Right now, MFT is releasing a brand new card kit called Walk in the Park! It’s live in the shop. It is perfect for scene building – from a serene park to a noisy playground – this kit has great dies for your stash. Check out the MFT blog for all the info and to see some other samples created by team members.
The Walk in the Park Card Kit includes:
- Walk in the Park stamp set
- Two Trees Die-namics
- Park Bench Basics Die-namics
- Swings and Things Die-namics
- Card Stock (10 sheets) Red Hot, Orange Zest, Lemon Drop, Limelight, Lazy Day, Porcelain White, Kraft, Milk Chocolate, Cement Gray, Black Licorice
There are also several coordinating products that you can add-on to your base card kit to complete the collection.

STEP-BY-STEP INSTRUCTIONS
- Trim a panel of white cardstock to 5×5 inches. Ink blend the clouds using orange and pink dye inks with the Rolling Clouds stencil. Splatter with water, pink ink, and white paint.
- On another scrap of white cardstock, trim a grassy hill with scissors. Ink blend the piece with green inks. Splatter with water and diluted green ink. Adhere to the bottom of the stenciled clouds.
- Die cut the Two Trees Die-namics from Limelight and Field Day cardstocks. Add ink blending and splatter to the trees. Adhere to the card front.
- Using Park Bench Basics Die-namics, die cut the pieces for the bench, books, lamp post, and basket from various scraps of colored cardstock. Add light ink blending and splatter to each element. Adhere to the card front.
- Stamp a sentiment from Walk in the Park in dark gray ink.
- Embellish with white gems.

I really like these trees and think it would be fun to color them for all seasons. Thanks for stopping by! I’ll share another card with the kit plus add-ons tomorrow.
